Welcome to the Fourth Annual Pace Podcast Holiday Gift Guide. This year, we kept the gifts simple, the budgets small and the ideas practical. Let the gift giver know you have simple needs, and for you gift givers, let the riders close to you know you’re thinking of them.
Hey all. We’re not bringing you a show this week. James is under the weather and Chris is recovering from a whirlwind coast-to-coast drive for a family emergency, and Chris is also working on some technical issues. Look for a show next week. For this week… the guys really appreciate your patience and understanding.
We have a dual purpose episode this week. It’s a bizarre Frankenstein’s monster of a show bringing The Pace and The Wheelnerds together for the second time! We have our usual measure of news, email and random diversions along with a couple classified ads that Todd brought with him. Get ready! Here comes The Pace 130 and Wheelnerds 65!
We’re sorry to say we’re taking the week off. James is enjoying a much needed vacation, and I’m working on coordinating some family emergency travel. I can spill some details on that later, but for now let me just say that we appreciate your patience and your hanging in there when life gets in the way of the show. The Pace has the best audience in all of Podcastdom. Don’t ever doubt that.
This week, while James is off exploring the wilds of corporate travel, Chris enlists the help of his friend John, an MSF instructor, long time rider and track day junkie, to help keep the show on track (pun!). In true Pace Podcast form, many a rathole was visited, and many a tangent was… tangentalized.
This week we speculate and ponder the existence of the as yet non-existent existence of Honda’s non-existent V4 sport bike. It doesn’t exist. Yet. Will it? We don’t know, but it sounds like the non-existent bike may exist some day. Whew. That went round the horn a bit. KTM gives us a new big Adventure bike and it’s powered by the RC8 mill. Question is, did the plob the lump in there, or do some reworking on it?
EBR tosses out some ideas on how better to support dealerships, and let’s slip a little info on the new EBR machines coming out in 2013. You on board? Triumph announces pricing on the new Trophy touring bike and clearly has BMW centered in their crosshairs.
Some brief commentary on the Fischer and CF Moto lower-cost alternative bikes, and does Can Am have something new up their collective sleeves…?
