Happy Holidays, 2013!

Happy Holidays, 2013 ThePaceFINAL-300x116
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and all the other greetings that I'm entirely too uncultured to know. James and I have decided to take the next few weeks off and come back after the first of the year. We both work in IT in the financial business, and that can be just awful at the end of the year for finishing out projects, long hours and crunch time deadlines. Enjoy the break. Thank you all for a wonderful 2013. This year was a big one for us, both on the show and behind the scenes. Thank you for staying involved, for all the great feedback, interaction, encouragement and support. Remember to stay up to date on the show blog at http://thepacepodcast.com/, and of course the forums at http://thepacepodcast.com/forums. And get involved the Winter Holiday Photo Contest we're sponsoring. Details can be found on the forums at http://thepacepodcast.com/forums/index.php?topic=10.0 Take care, and we'll see you again real soon.

Hey there, folks. Sorry, we're unable to bring you a show this week. Work has been kicking both our butts, and it looks like the week is all filled up. We're very sorry, but we'll make it up to you next week. Thanks! Talk with you all real soon...

Episode 163 - The 2013 holiday buying guide November 27, 2013 ThePaceFINAL-300x116
After announcing something so grandiose, I feel like I should pay homage to Stan Lee and yell EXCELSIOR! But I'm not going to do that. Instead, what I'm going to do is say that we had a good time compiling this list of suggestions from the listeners, with special thanks to Rick, Matt Murto and Kelly Mills. Thanks so much, folks! These are all great suggestions, and we hope everyone has a good time with it. In addition to the guide, we want to announce that the raffle winner has been chosen for the Aeromoto Sport Air leather motorcycle jacket. And that winner is... (insert dramatic pause here...) James Enny. James, congratulations. Look for an email from us very soon and we'll get the jacket right out to you. Thank you to all the entrants, and to all the listeners for the ongoing support. We're a very lucky and fortunate couple of pod-gabbers. raffle James and I also want to announce that we've (re)opened The Pace Podcast online forums. The forums will include weekly show postings and feedback, discussion about other bike topics, a market place, and all sorts of chit-chat. Log in and create a forum account today at http://thepacepodcast.com/forums/. And now... links. Links for you, links for me, links to click and links to see!

Episode 161 - A Feedback Extravaganza! November 13, 2013 ThePaceFINAL-300x116
This week the guys take a much needed break from the never-ending stream of news, they put their unimpeachable journalistic integrity on hold and kick back with nice glass of brandy to talk with friends. And by talk with friends we really mean catch up on feedback. OUR INBOXES RUNNETH OVER! The Rally is done and over and the winners have been sent their prizes. Oh, and next week, The Pace is hosting another Riders' Roundtable Discussion. So be sure to Circle us on Google Plus and tune in for that. Next Wednesday, November 20th.

The E2E Rally is over and the tallying is all done. We announce the winners in this week’s show, and once again, a huge thank you to all the participants, and congratulations to our winners. In the news we discuss everything from new little scooters and small bore bikes, to new big behemoth power cruisers. Sena tells us all about their new offerings and Erik Buell Racing sets pricing on the street version of the 1190… and it’s pretty darned welcome news. Is Suzuki gonna give us a turbo mid-sized street bike? Well, there’s a concept and it seems to be met with praise on all fronts. So, if the court of public opinion matters, I’d say it’s a lock. Stay tuned…

Also, we have lots of feedback stored up for next week.

Rally Results:

  • First place - Entrant #43, Jack Starcher with 2020 points.

  • Second place - Entrant #179, Sandi Roush with 1906 points.

  • Third place - Entrant #69, Dan D’Assis with 1578 points.

October 23, 2013 – Happy Fourth! No, the other fourth.

October 23, 2013 - Happy Fourth! ThePaceFINAL-300x116
Four years we've been doing this show. Four years. Seems like just yesterday James and I were sitting on the upstairs balcony of the Deer Park Tavern in Newark Delaware enjoying a cold brew and talking about "... if I ever do a podcast..." And so here we are, on the fourth anniversary of our show returning to the veritable scene of the crime. If you're at all able, consider coming out to The Deer Park Tavern on Friday, October 25th (7pm) to join us in celebrating the event. Oh, and we're running a raffle for a prize, too. It's the review unit of the Aeromoto Sport Air leather jacket, submitted for review by Competition Accessories. Check out the full line of Aeromoto merchandise at the CompAcc site. Wow. Four years... A lot has happened over the last four years, and through it all, The Pace has been a part of my life. The feedback and support from our listeners has been nothing short of amazing. The friends James and I have made - or gotten to know better through the show and events - have been great additions to our lives. The time and effort we put into the show has always been a labor of love and we thank you, one and all, for letting us into your homes and ear buds each week. Thank you for four wonderful years. May the next forty be just as good.

October 25, 2013 at 7pm - celebrate the 4 year anniversary of The Pace at The Deer Park Tavern.

Episode 158 – It’s got KiPass and chutzpah!

Episode 158 October 15, 2013 ThePaceFINAL-300x116
This week the boys are discussing... well, there's lots of talk about Sena and Bluetooth communications. So, there's that for news. Ok, ok... it's a light week for news. But they have lots of feed back, opinions and the occasional wise crackin' joke. Chris reviews the Power Trip Dakota II jacket. Editor's note: Chris's closet currently contains a Power Trip Dakota II jacket for a whomping $24, and a BiLT Typhoon jacket for colder & wetter riding, for a killer $89. It's not that he's cheap, mind you, but... Ok, maybe he is. A little. After the news and reviews, the guys go on to the feedback and wow, is there a lot of it. Keep the feedback rolling in! It makes the boys feel like they're doing something special. Boosts their Internet motorcycle maven street cred, as it were. Anyway, yeah... feedback.
