James and Chris discuss the cultural phenomenon known as Christopher Walken. Ok, not really; just an honorable mention. It’s a feedback extravaganza this week while the guys get caught up on feedback. James - no, no... not THAT James - had a minor incident and we point you to the forum discussion where his bike pics exist. Chris has decided that he’s selling his reliable bike and getting a Ducati Indiana. Nope... that’s just a flat out lie, but he does link you to a picture of one. Keep your bucket handy.
This week we honor friend of the show Denise Dickenson on her 200,000 mile Yamaha FZ-1. Keep racking up those miles, Denise. We look at some secure storage options for when you reach your destination. We talk about... Honda. Ok, so it’s just scooter stuff, but come on... news was slim pickings this week. We pile on the goodness with a romp through the feedback, drop an F-bomb or two, then round out the show with a GearChic segment on helmets.News:
Chris gives updates on Liz’s KZ440 and Liz gets some saddle time
Friend of the show Denise Dickenson makes 200k on her FZ1
What happens when you’ve got 6 people in a mini van, a rider behind them and 10 miles of road on which to drive and ponder? Well, obviously, you discuss how best to take the rider out using a paintball gun. Poor James.
If you’re reading our show ‘blog, you’ve no doubt seen some of Denise Dickenson’s ride reports. This week we invite Denise on the show to discuss her impressions after riding the VFR1200, and Denise’s history in riding in general. 180,000 miles on her FZ1. Let that sink in.
After our discussions, we run through a few news items, including a big tire comparison article in Motorcycle USA, a Ninja 1000 review including pricing and some technical information, and the Tiger 800 gets priced (in Europe). If the pricing goes as expected, this will be a VERY competitively-priced product.
Aerostich say Thank You to the vets with a 10% discount for active service members, and our “Genius or Madness†pick of the week falls a little on the “huh...?†side of things; The StreetRyder passenger grab handle. Just click and see.

See that FZ1? There are 173,000 miles on that bike. Probably more since Denise sent us these pics two days ago. I'm just going to say thanks for the submission and get out of the way. This is what Denise had to say about the pics.
Some pics taken this summer on my annual STAR trip hosted by the MSTA This year it was to Taos, NM with an after tour up to Avon, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park. That's where a friend rode up beside me and snapped the 1st one. The others were at an overlook on Highway 64 going up to Chama and Highway 434 south of Angel Fire.  434 reminds me of the narrow roads in the Alps.
That trip was approximately 3000 miles in 10 days and included a chance to demo the new Honda VFR DCT version. Nice bike but not a replacement for my FZ1. I'm working towards 200k on it.
